Our partner company dealing with groundbreaking medical solutions is now hiring in the position of Statutory Lead Accountant, for their Budapest office.

Tasks

  • Responsible for US-GAAP & STAT accounting and reporting for Europe prepared by the multiple process teams in Budapest & other off-shore locations with mentoring.
  • Ensure compliance, integrity of account balances / financial reporting and effectiveness of business processes by monitoring legal entity balance sheets in country and prepare with the team the balance sheet review for management purposes.
  • Responsible to ensure dedicated statutory regulatory filings are completed timely, efficiently and in compliance with the country regulatory requirements. 
  • Understand and anticipate the business needs, and help the Center deliver on critical requirements.
  • You have opportunity to take part of the improvement, alignment, simplification, implementation, and standardization of closing & audit processes for assigned legal entities.
  • Take part in regular audits as the member of the team
  • Take part of productivity for the annual statutory audits process through automation and process standardization to produce financial savings

Expectations

  • Fluency in English and Hungarian
  • Significant level of practical experience on statutory accounting and reporting matters.
  • Experience working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows.
  • Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers generate alternatives and drive positive change.
